Julie Ingram Shares "Faith-Full" New Single

"Thank God" – A Personal Reflection And Tender Tribute To Parents

Nashville, TN

As the joyous and spiritually-filled holiday season approaches, Longshot Records recording artist Julie Ingram celebrates the reason for the season with a tribute to her own family in "Thank God.*" The track, which is the second release from her 2010 project entitled ALWAYS REMEMBER, is slated to go for radio adds on November 28, 2011. Two separate versions of the song will be featured in sequence on CDX in the coming weeks (CDX Vol. 534 [10/24/11] and CDX Vol. 535 [11/7/11]); it will be promoted to country radio by GrassRoots Promotion-Nashville. The cut will also be available via PlayMPE and all major Internet outlets (Rhapsody/Amazon/iTunes).

Folks who purchase via iTunes will receive as an added bonus a free download of "Best Christmas Yet" from the Julie Ingram - 5-Pack CD Set.

"This single is my most personal and revealing to date," Ingram explains. "With so much sadness and tragedy in the world, I have become increasingly aware of how truly blessed I am. Both strong supporters, their cup runneth over with love, my parents lived their lives by example…and for that I thank God!"

Co-written with Frank Wainwright, the piano-driven testimonial reveals Ingram's undeniable affection and admiration for her parents and respect of the principles instilled--a practice that she has promised herself to exercise daily. The stark, simplistic instrumentation is the perfect complement to Ingram's voice, stylistically reminiscent to songbirds Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn, who favored honest songs with positive messages. Adding to the depth of its powerful meaning and message, Ingram performance is accompanied by the echoes of a gospel choir and a horn arrangement.

"Each day I count my blessings / Read the bible for my lesson
Bow my head down and kneel when I pray / Lend a hand to my neighbor
To help ease his labor / Make the effort to go out of my way"

Julie Ingram has been recognized in film, on television, in print and on country radio. She celebrated the release of her current CD, entitled ALWAYS REMEMBER, in October 2010; her KEEP ON BELIEVIN' project produced four radio singles-"Anytime, Anywhere," "A Place Called Love," "Make Me Feel Like A Woman" and "Gone To Kentucky"- which all garnered national airplay.

Julie is an accomplished actress and former model who was also a regular on the legendary television hit series Dallas. Upon special invitation, Julie has performed before former President George W. Bush, First Lady Laura Bush, former President George H. Bush and Gov. Mike Huckabee.

"Pull for our Heroes": More Highlights and Videos from Julie's Trap Shoot benefitting Patriots Path.

Centerville, VA

"Her (Julie's) blue eyes are better than two dozen roses"
quote by
Dave Butz

PHOTO-JOURNALIST
Dan Wunsch

Hosted by LongShot Records Recording artist & Celebrity Shooter Julie Ingram. "Pull For Our Hero's" brought out the best of the best American shooters & hearts. Leestown (the current holder of the trophy) held their own and won again! Being the 10th anniversary of 9-11 and Patriots weekend (MIA-POW's) kept the memories and participants focused on the annual Open/Invitational Trap Shoot.

"It was such an honor begin with singing the Star Spangled Banner after the touching introduction of Col Oliver North and Cpl Dakota Meyer and looking into the crowd seeing Maj Jim Land." Julie & her Long Shot Guys split up into their teams and shot with over 100 other participants while others were entertained by The Britt Hammond Band & Ty Brown during lunch. Julie and her band took the stage at the completion of competition and sang her moniker songs ie: LongShot Girl and Gone To Kentucky- just for Dakota since he was born in Greensburg, Kentucky and was leaving the shoot to go straight to the white house to receive his Medal of Honor. Her most touching are always her patriotic standards, however she announced the release of her newest single to test the crowd and it was a huge success. THANK GOD will go to radio Oct. 24th and there is never a dry eye in the audience once they hear her redemption.

Her song for Dakota, called MY BROTHER, she had to pull and simply quote as she and Dakota make a pac that neither wanted to cry in remembrance of loved ones lost. It was the first song Julie wrote at 10 yrs. old while both of her uncles were in Vietnam and one lost in action that finally came home with a purple heart. It really says it best when you think of a hero and Dakota's feeling of "why" he is the one standing here".

MY BROTHER

(Intro is spoken)
We can't scape the responsibility
Adversity makes a hero
We should never forget his loyalty
He died for you and me
He died for the U.S.A.
My brother passed the test last Friday
We got the letter today
The sergeant said in his letter
your brother he was brave
My Mother cried all yesterday
and she's still crying today.
My father said if only
my brother was not so brave
Now this affects each and every one of us
in it's own special way
search your hearts and ask yourself
Do you deserve what you've got today
He died for the USA
The paper said he's a hero
We should be proud
ALWAYS REMEMBER He died for the USA for you & me

The Celebrity Shoot will be an annual event and the winners and shooters scores are all posted on the Patriot Path's website. Quote from celebrity Men's Shirt Designer Cody Hammond of New York, whom also survived 9-11 was it was so refreshing and a "Picture perfect day" shooting up into the clouds and not having to see those building tumbling down on TV one more time! God Bless to All!

Julie Ingram Turns Ice Into [N]ICE With Performance At Legends For Charity Event

Dallas, TX

Dallas singer/songwriter Julie Ingram can add ice to the old adage of “neither rain, nor hail, nor sleet or snow…” Never one to miss an appearance, especially for charity, Ingram jetted into town from a recent visit to Las Vegas looking stunning in a flowing black gown for her appearance at Thursday’s Legends For Charity benefit held at the Hilton Anatole for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hopsital.

Amongst the crowd of NFL honorees including Terry Bradshaw, Ingram performed songs from her latest album Always Remember including her newest song “You The Man Babe” due to hit radio on February 28. Luckily, she was able to croon her tunes before the snowfall began.

Working in tandem with Mother Nature, Ingram also managed to fly in her Nashville piano player, Jay Vern, to join her for the gig.

Thursday’s performance marked the beginning of Julie’s weekend of Super Bowl festivities, which also includes a second performance during the Giving Back Fund Big Game Big Give events, a two-night affair held at the Samuel Lynne Galleries and the home of Phil and Lillie Romano.

Six out of Seven Stars!: Nashville Music Guide's Review of Always Remember (I Love You) Album

Nashville, TN

From Dec/Jan Issue of Nashville Music Guide:

Lifetime member of the Songwriters’ Hall of Fame, Julie Ingram, singer-songwriter hailing from Dallas, Texas has once again proved her talent with her newest album titled, Always Remember (I Love You), which was released in October. The title track “Always Remember” is a heart-felt melody written by, Frank Wainwright, about losing dear friends before getting a chance to talk to them. Sam Levine added warmth and style to it with great saxophone playing. “Madder by the Minute” penned by Ingram and Dodson is a good traditional, country song with a Loretta Lynn feel to it. My personal favorites are track eight, “The BD Encore,” a twang honky-tonk instrumental with kickin’ steel, piano and guitar; and track three, “Big Dog in Dallas,” which is a pedal to the medal classic.

New Album 'Always Remember (I Love You' set to release to radio October 26th

Nashville, TN

Always Remember . . . I Love You is the main message of this album. Each song is a different scenario in life we deal with. It makes a person think of a loved one or friend and how we wish we would have said (or reminds us to say) “I Love You” before it’s too late. Singer/Songwriter Julie Ingram is not shy when it comes to reality and speaking the truth, which shines through in all of her song selections. Still writing from true life experiences says something for this self contained woman of today. She makes is clear to her fans & will always be remembered herself for staying true to her own style and delivering with reality from her heart to each & every listener. She walks the walk and is the talk of each song on this NEW album.

Julie Ingram Attends Songwriters Hall Of Fame Awards

Nashville, TN

Julie on the Red Carpet

Singer/songwriter/ recording artist Julie Ingram recently visited New York City to attend the Annual Songwriter's Hall of Fame Awards Gala held at the Marriott Marquis Hotel.  "I am honored to be included as a lifetime member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame," said Ingram, who was on hand to announce the release of her new single, “I Love You”

“After much debate on whether to wear silver or black, I was thankful I chose the silver dress,” Julie said.  “When Paul Simon was accepted with the Towering Song Award for writing “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” he told a story about be asked to write a third verse while in the studio recording.  He kept arguing and telling them the song only had two verses and that was it.   A typical recording scenario… but he finally gave in and wrote the 3rd verse, “Sail on Silver Girl. . .”   I took that as the reason I chose to wear silver -- as did Taylor Swift who received The Hal David Starlight Award.”

“All acceptance speeches and performances were outstanding. . . however, in my opinion, Billy Joel’s introduction of Phil Ramone stole the show,” says  Julie, who enjoyed sharing a table with the Songwriters Hall of Fame’s Vice Chairman, and the writer of several Frank Sinatra songs, Ervin Drake and his wife Edith.

Julie Ingram Releases New Single 'I Love You'

Nashville, TN

Dallas singer/songwriter Julie Ingram’s new single, “I Love You” (CDX Volume 500), is currently impacting national country radio.  Look for an “I Love You” video, which was shot last week in scenic Texoma, to follow shortly.  The single is the first from Julie’s soon to be released new album titled ALWAYS REMEMBER.

“The idea for this song came to me after losing friends before really getting a chance to talk,” says songwriter, Frank Wainwright.  “It inspired me to make sure I tell all of the people I care about that I love them every time we’re together.  I was thrilled to have Julie cut “I Love You” because she really feels this song and that’s what’s important to me.”

In addition to releasing a new single, Julie is also gearing up for the CMA Music Festival which has become something of an athletic event for her.  An accomplished hunter known as the “Long-Shot Girl,” Julie will compete in Field & Stream’s Total Outdoorsman Challenge and Outdoor Life’s Save-A-Stream Charity Pro-AM for the third year in a row.  She is looking forward to reuniting with pro-caller, Bubba McPherson at Outdoor Life’s Save-A-Stream Charity Pro-AM which teams up country artists with some of the top callers/outdoorsmen in the United States for a friendly game-calling competition.  Julie and Bubba have taken 2nd place in the event for the last two years.
